Basic hose construction

Oil hose is used inside combustion engines to convey the fuel from a fuel storage tank to an engine. Broadly speaking, a hose is a three-ply construction, including the innermost tube, body and the outermost cover. Tube and the substance flowing inside it should not react with each other, which can protect the substance from being contaminated.

Body reinforcement support the hose. It can be made of cord, yarn, fabric, wire or any combination of these. Reinforcement provides the hose protection from crushing or kicking.

Cover is engineered to a protective layer against abrasion, sunlight degradation, ozone, cuts, weathers, and other damages from the environment.
